🚤 Full-Day Lake Atitlán Cultural Adventure

One of the most unforgettable days of your Guatemala journey is a full-day exploration of Lake Atitlán—often called one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

Surrounded by towering volcanoes and traditional Mayan villages, this experience blends dramatic natural beauty with living culture, history, and authentic local connection.

From the moment we arrive, you’ll step into an entirely different world—crystal-clear waters, volcanoes rising from the shoreline, and villages where ancient traditions are still part of everyday life.

We’ll board a motorboat and cruise across the lake, visiting three of its most iconic villages:

🚤 Scenic Lake Cruise

Enjoy a full boat journey across Lake Atitlán, surrounded by panoramic views of volcanoes and dramatic landscapes at every turn.

🧵 San Juan La Laguna

A peaceful village known for art, textiles, and strong community traditions. Here you’ll:

• Visit weaving workshops using natural, plant-based dyes
• Explore local art galleries
• Learn about Mayan symbolism and cultural traditions
• See how community-based craftsmanship supports local families

🎨 San Pedro La Laguna

A colorful, vibrant lakeside town where you’ll:

Throughout the day, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking scenery—volcanoes reflected in the water, colorful villages along the shoreline, and a living culture that has existed for centuries.

🥾 Acatenango Overnight Volcano Hike

The Acatenango trek is the most challenging and most rewarding part of this adventure—and one of the most iconic hikes in the world.

This is an overnight hike covering approximately 12 miles round-trip (give or take) with steep elevation gain and high altitude. It is physically demanding, but completely worth it.

We will do this together as a group—no one is left behind.

You’ll leave your main luggage safely at our private villa and pack only a backpack with essentials for one night on the mountain.

We’ll spend the night in rustic mountain cabins with mattresses and sleeping bags before hiking back down the following morning to return to our villa to shower, rest, and recover.

During the hike, meals are included:

You’ll also have the chance to witness Fuego Volcano erupting at night from camp (weather permitting)—one of the most surreal natural experiences on earth.
