Meet Our Founder

Hi, I’m Danyell! As a native Angeleno, I’ve spent countless hours exploring the stunning landscapes of Los Angeles County, finding solace in its majestic mountains. These adventures inspired me to create LA Hiking Baddies, a community born from my desire to connect with other women who share a love for hiking.

While completing grad school, I started with a small network of women, not realizing this modest idea would grow into something extraordinary. What began as a casual gathering in 2022 has blossomed into a thriving community of thousands. Beyond the physical benefits, hiking has shown me its incredible power to uplift mental well-being. Sharing the trail with a supportive group of women brings unparalleled joy, connection, and camaraderie.

Professionally, I work as an equity trader, utilizing my Bachelor’s degree in Business (Entrepreneurship concentration) and an MBA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton. My workdays revolve around the complexities of the stock market, but my passions extend far beyond my career. I love cooking delicious vegan meals, exploring new destinations, and have been fortunate enough to visit over 30 countries!

Volunteering is another significant part of my life. Since 2016, I’ve been actively involved with the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, serving as a panelist, coach, mentor, and member of the Gold Award Committee. It’s been deeply rewarding to empower young girls through leadership development and entrepreneurial opportunities.

In just two short years, LA Hiking Baddies has become a space where women step out of their comfort zones, embrace their authentic selves, and create lasting memories. Seeing this transformation fills my heart with joy. This incredible journey is just beginning, and I’m excited to continue exploring the beauty of this world together!
