Meet Our Founder

Hi, I'm Danyell!
As a native Angeleno, I've spent a considerable amount of time exploring the beautiful county of Los Angeles and discovering solace in its captivating mountains. It was with these experiences that the notion of creating LA Hiking Baddies first occurred to me. While completing grad school, I decided to build a small network of women to hike with.
Little did I know that this idea would evolve into something far beyond what I had initially envisioned. What began as a small gathering of like-minded women in 2022 has now grown into a thriving community of thousands of women. Beyond just the physical benefits of hiking, I have found immense joy in witnessing the transformative impact it can have on one's mental well-being. Hiking with a supportive community of women adds an extra layer of joy and camaraderie that is truly priceless. Our community has given me the opportunity to connect with women from all walks of life, fostering bonds and creating unforgettable memories along the way.
As for my professional background, I currently work as an equity trader, leveraging my Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and an MBA with a Finance concentration from California State University, Fullerton. My days are often filled with the intricacies of the stock market, but outside of work, I have a deep passion for cooking delicious vegan meals and exploring new destinations as I have traveled to nearly 35 countries so far!
Volunteer work is another important part of my life. I have been volunteering with the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles since 2016. The opportunity to teach leadership and be involved in numerous entrepreneurial events as a panelist, coach, mentor, and member of the Gold Award Committee has been extremely rewarding. My volunteer work has enabled me to make a positive difference in the lives of young girls, empowering them to become confident and capable leaders.
Since the start of this Baddies journey just 2 years ago, I have watched numerous women in our community spread their wings, get out of their comfort zones, and live their authentic selves, and it has filled my heart with joy! This beautiful world awaits us, and I am looking forward to creating many more memories together!
